House Xonthos are the Black Salt Seers — the House of Forbidden Recall. From the Mirror Rim they interpret black salt, dead timelines, erased histories, and god-memory that reality tried to bury. Their species, the Aethelian, are tall, severe, and godlike, long-lived across three to five centuries, built to survive proximity to forbidden memory without consuming it.
Their creed is the Witnessing: reality survives because something remembers it, and forgotten crimes become future monsters. They are trained from childhood to feel everything and show nothing until they know what the feeling belongs to. It makes them brilliant, patient, and almost impossible to trust.
